Wildflower Seed Cards

As of Mid 2026, Earth Accessories is rolling out the use of seed paper thank you cards cards in our jewelry products. You may start to see some of these in your orders and have some questions. 

Note: We still have some inventory out there without them, but we will be adding these in as we replenish inventory going forward.

WHO MAKES THEM?

Earth Accessories is currently utilizing two suppliers for our wildflower seed paper thank you cards. Both of the manufacturers for these cards are Certified B Corps. 

WHAT IS IT MADE OF?

Paper is made from 100% recycled paper (no trees harmed). 

Seeds imbedded in the paper are a diverse mix of annual and perennial wildflower seeds that are NON-GMO. (Learn more about why non-gmo seeds matter.)

If you receive one of the folded 2"x5" wildflower cards, seeds may include:

• • Bird’s Eye -gila tricolor
  • Clarkia -clarkia unguiculata
  • Black Eyed Susan -Rudbeckia hirta
  • Catchfly - silene armeria
  • Snapdragon -linaria maroccana
  • Sweet Alyssum –Lobularia maritima
    

If you received the 3"x3" wildflower cards, seeds may include: 

• • Five-Spot –Nemophila maculata
  • Siberian Wallflower –Cheiranthus allionii
  • Annual Candytuft –Iberis umbellata
  • Baby Blue-Eyes –Nemophila menziesii
  • Scarlet Flax –Linum grandiflorum rubrum
  • Cut and Come Again ‘Pumila Mix’ Zinnia – Zinnia elegans ‘Pumila’
  • Sweet William Pinks –Dianthus barbatus
  • Mixed Corn Poppy –Papaver rhoeas
  • Tall Spurred ‘Northern Lights’ Snapdragon – linaria maroccana
  • Gloriosa Daisy –Rudbeckia hirta gloriosa
  • Black-Eyed Susan – Rudbeckia hirta
  • Purple Giant Hyssop -Agastache scrophulariifolia
  • Clarkia -clarkia unguiculata
  • Lemon Mint –Monarda citriodora
  • Sweet Alyssum – Lobularia maritima

The species are not considered to be noxious, or invasive and many are drought tolerant in the United States and Canada. 

WHEN TO PLANT?

Plant anytime indoors, then transplant to a more permanent location in the early spring.  Fall plantings will utilize winter rains to give you early spring blooms for some seed types.

If not planting immediately, store paper in a cool, dry place to preserve the germination rates. Hot and humid storage will decrease germination. Properly stored seed paper may still grow up to 6 years old, but germination rates start to decline after 3 or 4 years. We hope you'll just plant it now and feed the bees. :) 

WHERE CAN I PLANT?

These seeds are able to be shipped in both US and Canada. Other countries may require additional certifications. Therefore, we currently are only selling our jewelry with these wildflower seed thank you notes in the United States. 

WHY?

We want to spread beauty and positivity in the world.  We care about the Bees and we hope you'll help us plant some flowers for them. :)

HOW TO GROW IT?

1. 1. Soak paper overnight.
      
   2. Loosen the soil, or fill a planter pot ¾ of the way with potting soil.
   3. Place the wet seed paper in the planter and add a thin dusting of soil. (about 1/8 of an inch)
   4. Keep it moist during germination & ensure there good drainage. Don’t let the water pool.
   5. Once the sprouts are well established they can easily be transplanted to a more permanent outdoor location.
   6. Give it plenty of sunlight.
